How long has Purebread been in Function Junction?

We just celebrated our 3rd birthday in Function – we opened here in December 2010.

Please tell us a bit about your business?

Purebread aims to bring a smile to people’s faces, whether that’s something yummy to eat, a hot Stumptown coffee in the morning or just a warm welcome when you pop in to take a look.

What was your inspiration behind starting the business?

We just wanted to eat good food.  We began baking bread at home for our family and friends, it seemed to go down well and before we knew it we were regulars at the Farmer’s markets and had opened in Function.

What do you recommend from your kitchen?

It depends what time of the day you visit…perhaps the Chocolate Almond Croissant for breakfast, a hot Pudgie Pie for lunch or Drunken Apple Blondie as a treat to see you through the afternoon.

What makes Function a hidden gem?

It’s alive.  A blend of eclectic stores, great services and creative people give Function a distinctly warm vibe that just make it a great place to be.
